My name is Mary Amethyst Lomax and I have been told by many clients that I have magic hands! I have been working as a Professional Massage Therapist for over 16 years and have trained in many different techniques. I love the chance this gives me to introduce people to the power of therapeutic touch. It is truly a joy for me to be able to 'help people feel better for a living'.
My background is somewhat unusual as I studied Physics before deciding I was much more suited to caring for people and helping them improve their health than life in a lab. Health has always been my passion and I enjoy eating well and practicing Astanga yoga to keep myself fit and my energy flowing.
As well as my basic massage training (ITEC) I have studied a range of massage techniques and also spent two years at the University of Westminster studying more advanced therapeutic bodywork techniques.
I am a keen yogi having been practicing for over 10 years. I am also a fully qualified Astanga Vinyasa yoga teacher having trained at FPYK in Bangalore, India with Masterji Vishwanath (the nephew of Pattabhi Jois). I love this energetic flowing style of yoga which links each movement to the breath. I have found it very effective in increasing fitness, enhancing flexibility, deepening the breath and in training the mind to allow greater concentration and more profound meditation. I offer individual tuition and classes by arrangement.
I have always had a great interest in diet and nutrition and their effects on the health and wellbeing of body mind and spirit. I have studied Diet and Dietary Therapy at Westminster Uni and also studied Spiritual Live Food preparation at The Tree of
Life in Arizona. I eat a diet high in raw and living foods and enjoy preparing delicious and healthy meals and snacks. I feel great and am often told I look many years younger than I really am. I love sharing all my years of experience and training with clients and can also offer more in-depth nutritional coaching sessions by arrangement.
I look forward to meeting you and exploring how I can help you on your journey towards greater health and happiness.

Thanks for a wonderful massage on Saturday. I have felt more relaxed this weekend than I have for a long time.
Looking forward to another visit!
